Things were a little busy toward the end of last week and over the weekend. Baby Bro and Family are coming up here this Friday evening. The big FSU/USF game is on Saturday. Baby Bro managed to get 6 tickets and we'll be sweltering/frying/rained upon at the stadium

As of this writing, my forearm is back to mostly normal. I'm going to do the Benedryl and cream today, and maybe tomorrow just to be safe.
how much about what you've learned so far at the museum were you already familiar with and how much of it is new to you?
Some of the Art Dept stuff I've known about, between my matting/framing work and my volunteer work at museums. And while I know about things like condition reports and setting up exhibitions, I don't have much practical experience doing condition reports, setting the lights, or hanging the work/labels/vinyl lettering.
I've created educational materials, taught various museum outreach programs, given museum tours, organized a couple of museum events, and managed a few more.
The stuff in the Dev Dept is much like some of the stuff I've done with AAEP and working with my Professor as a Grad Assistant. Lots of computer work, creating documents, some research, some archiving, etc.
The new bit is crunching the survey and doing the statistics database. In all honesty, I'd really like to pursue more arts research for this community, but everyone seems to freak out when I start to mention it.
