My, my,my... How things change.

The internet is a beast. It really is. It just continues to grow and evolve to a point of madness for me. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it. I read random sites and check emails all day long, but as far as being an active "participant" in the madness... I haven't done that since pre-pregnancy.

As I mentioned in my last post, I decided to create a myspace and tagworld page for networking purposes. I haven't put a lot of effort into tweaking it because it's not exactly on my "Top 5 list of things that are more fun than giving yourself a spa treatment." But I will confess that I think to get anywhere in this techno-savvy drenched world, you've got to know somebody "in the know" otherwise you might as well be eating Fritos in your doublewide while watching All My Children.

So far, myspace is just entirely WAAAAAAYYYYY TOOOO "busy" for my liking. I do an occasional search for people with similar interests, and I'm consistently led to websites that look like a bad trip on acid (not that I'd know what that feels like, but I've been told... lol) and then to top this eye-trocity, the Dixie Chicks start singing "Cowboy Take Me Away..." in the background.

Can you say C-R-A-Z-Y!?

Tagworld isn't as bad. The layouts are customizable without being obnoxious. I think they must have had some support by mac users or something. The designs are so much more clean and rich. I think they need to work on their in house search engine though... I cannot easily find people I'd want to network with. Even though the leftsided search toolbar is nicely put together, the filters just aren't that great. It also offers more memory and a full playlist capability for your music if you feel compelled to annoy people with all your genres.... I suppose it beats hearing the same damn song over and over again like myspace does.

Alright... break time....
