Mujihi na Anata, part 2
More (01/11/12): Yes, yes, YES!!! *jumps around happily* Gah, it’s been much too long since chapter two came out >.< *flails some more* Thank you again to all the scanlators!
And before I forget, there has been something different about this from Mujihi na Otoko that has been bothering me, but I didn’t figure it out until a while back- the lack of all black panels. I rather liked them. They gave the manga a more, I don’t know, serious/dramatic mood overall as compared to your average fluffy yaoi. It made the art seem cleaner too since there was a lot more contrast between black and white. I think that might be why I feel that the artwork for Mujihi na Anata is a bit sloppier since the lines seem to be more sketchy and most of the previously black panels are replaced with blank spaces or toner (more of the latter, I think). But that’s just me speaking.
Alright, first page~ *rubs hands together* Hmm, can’t say I like the magazine cover too much. The winter theme with Nanao’s coat and the mug of coffee (it’s a heart <3) is nice and all, as is Kuon’s hand covering Nanao’s, but I’m slightly thrown off by Nanao blushing. Yeah, Kuon’s blushing too, but it’s not as noticeable, especially since blushing is something I associate with stereotypical ukes, which I like to think Nanao is not (as much). I suppose Nanao could just be flushed from the cold, but yeah… *shrugs* And, as usual, his very red lips stand out against his skin. I do wonder why Kuon isn’t wearing a jacket. Maybe just rolling down his shirt sleeves is enough?
*shrieks* Kyaa, kyaa, kyaa! <3 My god, Nanao looks so incredibly sexy like that on the chapter cover ^.^ *fangirling forever* I actually almost didn’t recognize him since his hair’s being blown around and he’s not wearing glasses, but there wasn’t exactly anyone else that it could be. *sighs contently* Ah, so so sexy…
I was rather excited to see the actual first page. I didn’t think that the hot little maybe-angry smut scene was going to be continued, but it was :D And Nanao lying there with the shirt half off of him… *drools*
Ah, and looks like Kuon’s continuing his biting-and-then-licking thing. Typical of him to ignore Nanao and just carry on with whatever he wants XD But poor Nanao. That’s gonna leave some crazy marks in the morning.
Ha ha ha! My, what a thing to say XD Matches with Kuon’s possessive personality, of course, but I keep on thinking about some stories I’ve read (a Tefu fanfic and a SuzaLulu dj) where the ukes really are devoured until not even their bones remain (I am curious as to how the bones are devoured- they seem rather hard on the teeth). And when Kuon was licking his lips, I was expecting to see fangs (like, say, a certain insanely sexy butler from Kuroshitsuji :3) Nanao still looks so sad though :(
Even though he keeps saying that ‘It wasn’t Aikawa’, I don’t think Nanao’s doing a very good job of convincing himself. Then again, there wouldn’t be any drama if he was able to convince himself that easily. And points to Kuon for noticing that Nanao is distracted *pats Kuon’s shoulder*
Oooh, more points to Kuon for being spot on. This guy’s really on a roll this volume :D And even better, we finally get a panel where Nanao is not blushing. It’s nice to see Nanao flustered once in a while, but excessive blushing gets annoying rather quickly (especially since he’s sure to blush some more in the following pages).
A reasonable request from Kuon *nods* Though he apparently wears earrings to bed? I don’t have any so I wouldn’t know, but I was under the impression that people generally take off their earrings so as to sleep more comfortably. A gentle stroke up Nanao’s thigh, and is he going to? Is he going to?
Yes, he’s going to! *cheers* This is made even hotter once you consider how their relationship used to be. Just goes to show how much Kuon loves Nanao :) And Nanao’s surprised expression is rather priceless XD Though, um, the right side of Nanao’s chest is a bit oddly drawn…
Ah, poor deluded Nanao, thinking that Kuon is forcing himself. If I didn’t love him so much, I’d probably be quite irked at how clueless Nanao is. And I’m not sure that I’d go so far as to say that Kuon is gay. He’s more…Nanao-sexual (kinda like how Kurogane is Fai-sexual~).
Blah blah blah, did Kuon’s pajamas have buttons in the first place? They seem like they did, but here it especially looks like he’s just wearing a weird long-sleeved shirt that has a collar. Small details *shrugs*
Oh, looks like Nanao’s gonna have a little breakdown (have I mentioned how much I dislike the sempai for hurting Nanao?). But… ‘Nano-sempai’? This was scanlated fairly quickly, so I suppose a misspelling could be understandable, though it’s Nanao’s name, and I’m pretty sure this pops up again on a later page. Nanao’s eyes looked slightly different here, and upon looking back, I realized that they’re more similar to Kuon’s eyes since the pupils(?) aren’t completely colored in as usual- good for showing Nanao's stronger emotions though.
Kuon sure loves to handle Nanao roughly. And this page is yet another example of the lack of background (can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this before, but there really isn’t much of a focus on background)- I mean, the lower left panel is completely empty aside from the text.
Good job to Kuon again for pinpointing the problem, and ooh, are we gonna have a big ol’ love confession?
Another brief flashback to Mujihi na Otoko, and Nanao finally voices out his concerns about their relationship. Finally! Ah, though seeing him in such a vulnerable and open state really makes me want to hug him >.< Kuon can do that, yes? And yeah, it’s rather odd sometimes when Nanao’s eyes aren’t pretty much completely colored in.
*gasps* I don’t blame Kuon for interrupting that long-winded self-deprecating roundabout confession (because it is quite the confession if you take out all the angst behind it), but my heart kinda stopped at his declaration because Nanao, being Nanao, is sure to interpret this as “I hate you” or the like D: Ohhhhh…
HEAR THE SOUND OF MY HEART BREAKING. Oh, Nanao, poor baby. I knew he would take this the wrong way. His shocked expression is just… *cries*
And again with the ‘Nano-sempai.’ Such a shame since this is such an intense moment. And intense it was because my heart was breaking more and more with each panel: the sheer hurt you can get from just Nanao’s clenched teeth, Kuon’s regretful/pain-filled expression, Nanao slowly sliding to the floor… T.T
*bursts into tears* NANAO, DARLING, PLEASE DON’T CRY ;A; I suppose the good thing amidst all this gorgeous drama is that it’s setting the premises for some incredibly lovely hurt/comfort, which seems like the case considering Kuon’s oh so gentle reassurances.
Ah, so it wasn’t just my eyes; as in the previous page, Nanao’s sleeve isn’t colored/patterned in. And Kuon’s pajama bottoms don’t match Nanao’s top? And they don’t match his own top either? Huh. But anyways, an achingly sweet move by Kuon that has me wibbling all over the place T.T Nanao rubbing his eyes is absolutely adorable, and that tender albeit slightly sad expression of Kuon’s is just gorgeous.

Guh, that ‘But I’m a guy’ line. It does make a lot of sense in context, but in general, when ukes say something like ‘But we’re both guys!’, it’s like, no shit, Sherlock. Maybe I’m just being lenient because it’s Nanao? Oh well. Good job to Kuon for calling Nanao’s bluff, and much yayness for the kiss \O/

I was hoping for something a bit fancier than plain black along with maybe a bandana (like, say, in one of his first appearances~), but I’ll take this.
*gasps* Aikawa can cook O.o Well, yeah, obviously he can cook since he’s been seen doing so, but this is the first time we see him doing so for Nanao, so it’s extra special~ Nanao doing the ‘thanks for the food’ hand gesture is adorable, and… ah, looks like he’s got a bit of a tsundere side to him ^.^ Really cute~ And good to know that he’s rather embarrassed by his actions yesterday; not that he has anything to apologize for given his circumstances, but even though adult guys crying isn’t that common, it sure doesn’t stop a ton of other ukes from doing so on a regular basis :P

Speaking of watching the house, where the heck are Hisa-nii and Towa anyway? Did they just go on their own little vacation somewhere else? Because I have this image of them getting to the place, then Towa ditches sometime to go to Mikado, and then Hisa’s vacationing all by himself. Poor guy- he would probably still do all the vacation-y stuff even with tears streaming down his face while wailing about being alone XD
Hmm, I had two reactions here. The first was that Kuon wanted to trap Nanao in the house to be with him forever (I’ve come across one too many stories with that plot, though there’s usually kidnapping or hostage-holding involved first). The second was that Kuon is on his way back to the hot springs resort to kick the sempai’s ass. I like that idea ^.^
Ah, I was a bit worried that Nanao might go kinda emo upon being left behind, but I’m glad to see that he’s okay *sighs in relief* Kuon won’t get back that fast? Shame, I would’ve settled for some hot bathroom sex since there didn’t seem to be any hot kitchen sex.

THERE IS MUCH SADNESS IN THE WORLD T.T Nevertheless, I shall eagerly wait until the next installment of KuonxNanao. Until then!
