...has been okay. I'm pretty pleased with my classes. None of them seem too hard, and require just the same amount of work that I was expecting. But there is still a lot of work that needs to be done.
Goals for this Semester:
1. Get into Eller
2. Get an A in Japanese
3. Actually pay attention in Japanese
It may not look like a lot, but sure is a helluva a lot! What I really need to do is focus. Focus. FOCUS! If I didn't love life so much, I would have asked someone to shoot me already...and actually mean it. lol!
Aside from classes, I'm still not quite sure how I feel about orchestra this year. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to get some slack from coming to rehearsal late since I have a class right before it. The music for this concert is pretty cool too. I still don't like the contemporary piece we're playing, but it's a hell of a lot better than the Erb we played last year. I like the Beethoven and the Wagner will be bomb once I can figure out how to play my part. Yup, all seems okay but I'm a little concerned about my stand partner. I heard through the grape vine that he had been moved down from Symphony to join us because he needed to practice more on his technique. BURN! And he's probably older than me and is actually a music major.
Now, I on the other hand, am not a music major. I like to come to rehearsal and play for fun. No more of that competition crap that I did in high school. Haha, I'm a business major, so my life is pretty hectic as it is. But I'm already getting the feeling that this guy doesn't think I'm 'qualified' enough for my position in the front. Well, sir, if that is how you see it, then feel free to do so. I'm not going to stress out over him and his constant staring at me during rehearsal. I do what I want. :]
Going back to study Japanese now. Then off to more classes!
