Before the drama CD, let's see an interview with Ryunosuke first. (From B's Log July issue.)
-Your age?
16
-Your position now?
I'm working at Serizawa-san's place. Not a member of Rōshigumi, but more like a servant.
-What do you do every day?
Do the chores Serizawa-san forced me to, practice swords with the Rōshigumi members... and troublesome stuff like that. Although I hate it, if Serizawa-san isn't going to let me go, there's nothing I can do about it.
-What's troubling you lately?
A lot. Getting beat up by Okita because "it's sword practice", getting beat up by Harada because "the way you talk is annoying", getting beat up by Serizawa-san's iron fan for whatever reason, and taking Niimi-san's sarcasm.
-What do you think of Serizawa Kamo?
I wish he'd stop calling me a dog, making me overwork, and beating me up with his iron fan when he's in a bad mood. He calls himself a "compassionate owner". Where's the compassionate part?
-What do you think of Hijikata Toshizou?
He is sharp, and rarely shows his emotion. Except towards Serizawa-san, he shows obvious hostility. Was there something between them?
-What do you think of Okita Souji?
In short, I don't like him. I wish he could stop beating me up in sword practice.
-What do you think of Saitou Hajime?
He's quiet and gloomy. I don't get him, since he doesn't talk much.
-What do you think of Toudou Heisuke?
He's the easiest to communicate with among Rōshigumi. Good common sense, compared to the others.
-What do you think of Harada Sanosuke?
Although he's not a bad fellow, I wish he'd try to communicate before using his fist. He's a dandy man, and very popular with girls. ... Err, I'm not jealous. Not a bit.
-What do you think of Kondou Isami?
He has a dōjō in Edo, but I think swinging a hoe in fields suits him better. He seems to be deeply admired by everyone, except for Serizawa-san and his gang.
-What do you think of Sannan Heisuke?
He's knowledgable. And gentle... at first sight. Talking to him gives me a chill up the spine.
-What do you think of Nagakura Shinpachi?
He's totally attached to fencing. It's the first time I see a typical samurai without a top knot. I wish he'd stop making me drink sake with him.
-What do you think of Niimi Nishiki?
Serizawa's ass-licker. I hate this kind of person physiologically.
-What do you think of Hirama Juusuke?
He's getting slaved around and beaten up by Serizawa-san even worse than what I got. It seems his family served Serizawa-san's family for generations. Poor guy.
-What do you think of Kosuzu?
For a girl with such sweet face, she dares to say her opinion in front of Serizawa-san. Talk about brave.
-What do you want most right now?
To have nothing to do with Serizawa-san and get out of here!
Ryunosuke's Test of Courage
Souji: You know the long-haired samurai slashed in streets the other day? Somebody saw him.
Heisuke: Long... long-haired you say? But there are many long-haired samurai besides me. Look, Ryunosuke's is long too.
Saouji: Yep. So Ibuki-kun might be targeted too.
Ryunosuke: *sigh* How foolish. This ghost stuff.
Heisuke: Eeh? Ryunosuke, you're not scared of it?
Ryunosuke: Of course not. Because there are no ghosts.
Souji: Let me guess, is it so scary that you don't want to believe it?
Ryunosuke: Not a chance. Who saw the ghost girl slashing samurais in streets anyway? Isn't the whole thing made-up?
Saitou: ... Souji, did anyone see the ghost?
Souji: Who knows? I heard this from a child in the neighborhood.
Ryunosuke: Then it's that brat's imagination.
Sano: But isn't this too realistic for a child's imagination? It's very elaborated.
Heisuke: I don't think it's made up. And who doubt it will be cursed.
Ryunosuke: Hey. Don't you think this curse stuff is silly? How could you so easily fall for a hoax made to frighten kids? You scared me.
Heisuke: That's mean! What was that for? I'm concerned for you too!
Ryunosuke: *sneers* Ghost tales are just drunken men exaggerating from what they think they saw. Seriously believe in that? Are you insane?
Heisuke: Who are you calling insane!
Ryunosuke: Who else? To imagine something that doesn't exist, and then fear of this imagination. Isn't that funny?
Sano: Hey. Aren't you going a little too far?
Ryunosuke: I'm just saying what's on my mind.
Souji: Heh... Oh, by the way, Ibuki-kun. Hijikata-san was looking for you a while ago. I think you better go quickly.
Ryunosuke: Hijikata-san was? What the heck. For something important like this, you should have say so earlier!
(Ryunsuke stands up and leaves)
Saitou: Souji. About Hijikata-san looking for him, you were lying, right?
Souji: Yep. Because there's something I want to discuss with everyone here.
Heisuke: What is it?
Souji: What do you think of Ibuki-kun's attitude?
Sano: What do I think? Well, I can't say it's nice.
Heisuke: Agreed. He sees us as a group of fools.
Saitou: It's necessary to refrain such speech and behavior directed toward members of the same group, for it leads to discord.
Souji: Exactly. don't you think we should do something to change that attitude?
--- skip ---
Ryunosuke: The water is ... red?
--- skip ---
Ryunosuke: Footsteps? Is that one of us?
--- skip ---
Ryunosuke: There's no one in the hallway...
--- skip ---
Ryunosuke: Wait, did that shadow just moved?
--- skip ---
Ryunosuke: Waaaa?!
--- skip ---
Ryunosuke: There are no ghosts!!!
Personal comment: That interview is a guide to "how to annoy all your colleagues in five minutes"! XD
