NEW Hakuoki game?
LJ seems to be back in service. But posts with loooong contents (like translations) still can't get through without crashing. Editing in "rich text" isn't working either. So I'll be short. XD
Confirmed. Dengeki Girl's Style magazine will reveal this BRAND NEW HAKUOUKI GAME on Aug 10th. Aah 5 days to go. *panic* I think it's going to suck. Please don't suck too bad.
From an insider's blog, there will be a BRAND NEW HAKUOUKI GAME announced on August 10th. The date seems to be for Dengeki Girl's Style magazine. (It's impolite to link to blogs. I can pm you the url if needed.)
It says brand new and console unknown. So it's probably not Hakuouki 3D or another port.
Hakuouki basically covered eveything they can about Shinsengumi in general. What else can be made?
* Sequel to Hakuouki? Personally I'm not interested in seeing the bishis go Chizuru this, Chizuru that, Chizuru my goddess all day long. XD If keeping the history part, the only ones with history material after Boshin War were Saitou and Nagakura (barely met each other though). I'd love to see this, but I don't think it'd earn enough cash.
* Prequel to Reimeiroku? It'll be a lot of original story, since not much historical material is left about this part. THIS I really want to see. Can't get enough of Shieikan days! :D
* "Hakuouki: Shin Oni Hime Denshou"? Everybody become brainless highschool kids who has nothing better to do than to protect the marvelous Oni Princess Chizuru. YAY! I'd rather they kill this series. The original producer, Fujisawa Sukekiyo, is highly unlikely to write script like this. (Fujisawa loves the REAL Shinsengumi, not goddess Chizuru.) The SSL stories on Otomate official blog and newsletter, written by Otomate staff, were garbage.
SSL provides nice background settings for fanfics. But to make it a game? Ha ha ha.
* Yuugiroku 2 with Reimeiroku characters? Yuugiroku was notorious, but I wouldn't put it beyond Otomate. There was also an Otomate Tetris, with a trial version released with Reimeiroku's promo disc last year. Just edit it into Hakuouki Tetris = quick cash.
More over, Kazuki Yone sensei isn't working closely with Otomate lately. The new coverart for the recent artbook isn't even drawn by her. *shocked* I have a very bad feeling about this "new game".
Fujisawa-san & Yone-san are Hakuouki's soul. Plz don't do anything stupid. *fingers crossed*
Can't they go milk Hiiro no Kakera? It's getting a TV anime too! Oh wait. It just got another sequel. orz
Another blogger suggested time travel to Sengoku period. This I can accept! XD See, they even already have their battle attire designed. *points to 2010 calendar & figure*
