Girls Side 10th Anniversary Event Report
Over the weekend I went to the long awaited Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side Bunkasai - 10th anniversary event! I went with my friend a little later in the morning, since we were up late playing our games. lol I usually dont get to talk to other people about GS offline a lot, so it was great fangirling together and being gross
The event took place in Chiba, Makuhari Messei Convention Center taking up two halls.
When we walked in to the halls, we were greeted with lots of lines! 8D I mean, sure we came a little later (opened at 9 and we got there around 10) but I was sort of surprised. Manily because I figured with the limited/set number of event tickets it would be more... decor? spacious? organized? We weren't too sure which line was for what...
The bunkasai consisted of two parts - the event and stage. The events included GS themed food, photo booth, baseball/basketball toss, art gallery and planetarium.
Since the stage started later at 2, we decided to line up and get our goods. Unfortunatly because there so so many people, we were waiting outside for an hour or two. (>_>) I ended up just getting the pamphet at the Komami booth and my friend got the phamplet and poster... a lot of things were already out of stock!
It was fun seeing the Message board stands since they were named after the game meet up spots XD They provided pens so anyone could write on them.
I drew something that looked like Madoka and in wrote "Love Girl's Side series! Thank you for the tokimekis! Happy 10th!" I couldn't find my friend at one point, so I emailed her "I'll meet you at Habataki station!" LOLOL
The art gallery consisted of the character graphic stills, pencil draft versions.

(*^A^*) I wish they would of just drawn her in the cgs, she's so adorable!!
Now the main event, the stage part!
Suzuki Chihiro(Hikami) and Nojima Kenji(Akagi Kazuyuki) started and hosted as their characters offscreen. XD They introduced the guests, producer and character designer.
Guests: Midorikawa Hikaru (Hazuki Kei) Morita Masakazu(Saeki Teru), Junichi Suwabe, Tomokazu Sugita(Kouichi and Ruka Sakurai) Morikubo Shoutarou(Chiharu Aoki) Makoto Naruse(Amachi Shouta) Shinnosuke Tachibana(Seiji Shirata) and Kisaichi Atsushi(Nina Junpei)
Akari Uchida(GS producer) and Reiko Komatsubara(character desginer) also introduced themselves and commented on the 10th anniversary. Komatsubara commented and was holding back tears. 頑張れー！素敵な絵とキャラデサイン有難う！！ Uchida also commented and announced that the event bunakai DVD would be released in June (they started taking preorders that very night online LOL)
On screen they switched to Hazuki reporting on the art gallery and omggggggggg they used the 2D Live system www LOL They also did this for Teru as well! He was reporting on the food stands/cafe. (could this possible be a flag for future releases...?? lol but wouldnt mind a GS4 already XD)
The guest played games on stage. First a quiz the top 3 items being sold at the food stalls. They showed the food and they drew for hints/advantages. The most sold item turned out to be the yakisoba sandwhich wwww [1] Nightclub yakisoba sandwhich [2] Arashi's bentou Lunchbox [3] Shirata's first takoyaki
The second game was a Koakuma (Sweet devil) fashion battle. The guests paired in to teams and had to dress up a male mannequin that would fit the koakuma style.
Suigta and Suwabe's result was amazing www Devil mask, bowtie, fundoshi, a wad of money... chaos www The audience got to pick via clapping and they won www (what does this say about us, bambi-tachis www) The prize was the school blazers XD
The 3 plays featured a mix of the Girls Side characters. When it started, they used the same bunkasai girl announcement/bmg in the game www You might of seen it already, but the fans got to pick what play everyone would do on the offical site.

I am not really familiar with the sengoku jidai ^^;; (times like this I wish I played basara lol) I cant comment too much on it but it was fun non the less! The characters would get "out of character" and do ablib etc XD In the end they all just decided to fight/defeat Himuro wwww

XD So evil scientist Wakaouji and Squid devil (Tarouuuuuuu wwww) vs the prince rangers. This was halarious! Wakaouji couldnt stop laughing and again everyone did ablib. Of course Sakurai brothers didnt read the script or practice XD After the curtains closed, there was offscreen talk of them wanting to eat squid www

Kaijin Nijyu mensou > Hazuki
Well, the title speaks of it self - the characters are after the precious queens gown XD The play went pretty smoothly, and Hazuki sends sweet nothings out to the audience www because the real prize was not that queens gown but the actual queen aka YOU lololol (^q^)
The musical artsists played their songs inbetween the games and plays. Lovin' moon by Hayato (camino)Stay by Yuichi Oura, Flower of Love and Shine by Primrose. Of course B'z wasnt there for Signal and Utsukushiki Sekai www too bad XD
At the end of the stage part, the guests came out and gave comments on the 10th anniversary.. Midorikawa started talking about how its been 10 years since the 1st game.. and how the rest of the cast really wanted to come then he started holding back tears! It was so touching, as a fan since the first game it really hit me and I almost cried too!! ><;;
After the event I went to karaoke with my friend... and of COURSE had to sing the GS series opening and endings XD I figured if I'm going to geek out, might as well take a photo:

There are a few little nitpicks I had with the event... but overall I had a great time! The weekend was filled with GS talk and play XD I managed to finish Shirata's ED1 route and Hasumi's routes. <- moeee www Though I feel bad doing the koakuma route www Thanks for reading!
