New fan!
Hi there! Figured I'd join this community after seeing it was still active.
I'm a huge fan of dating games. English dating games for girls, to be specific. Too bad there's like, almost none out there, so I never even heard of TMGS. I'm working on my own dating game instead, and someone who follows my progress mentioned TMGS to me, saying that my own game was very similar to it.
So I googled it, and lo and behold, I'm immediately addicted to the franchise. Of course, huge bonus points to the fan translations (any news on 3rd story?) to actually make the thing readable, but also to the people who made it. I'm not much of a fan of stat raising games, but I definitely like it more than visual novels because of the interactivity. The skinship is so much fun and addicting, and they really improved on it in 3rd story (I kinda wish they'd remake 1st story with the skinship mode of 3rd story).
Anyways, it seems I'm a minority when it comes to liking the guys. Suzuka Kazuma and Fujiyama Arashi would be my favourites out of them all. I really do not like Hazuki Kei (I'm biased towards puke-green hair colours >_>;; ), and certainly do not like any teachers who seem to be the most popular. But hey, different people, different tastes, huh?
So what are your dislikes and likes when judging a guy? Here's my criteria (albeit shallow):
I will never go for a guy that:
- Wears glasses (not so much the glasses as the fact that they have a megane personality)
- Is the study type (tied to the megane personality)
- Is a teacher (not a fan of these)
- Has long hair (shoulder-length or longer)
- Has green hair (green leaning towards blue is fine, green leaning towards yellow is ugly)
- Says things with ♥ or gives you a compliment every other sentence
- Is a tsundere with no dere (so basically a jerk, I'm looking at you Shiba)
- Is a shota (Hibiya, Amachi, Oosako etc.)
- Too old looking (mustache man, you gave me nightmares when you kidnapped me)
I will totally go for a guy that:
- Stutters when shy (Suzuka Kazuma, you're the king of this)
- Blushes a lot (Harry!)
- Has red hair (instant fan)
- Is gentle towards you (the opposite of 'flirty' really)
- Is honest/blunt
- Is a tsundere (with lots of dere dere)
- Is considered 'plain' (yes, I liked Taiga!)
Also, on a small side note ... does it not bother anyone else that they specifically point out that a character is 'foreign' and then totally point out their 'outrageous foreigner hair/eye colour' as to indicate they're foreign - when the entire cast has the hair/eye colours of the rainbow? I mean geez, Chris had normal blonde hair in a universe of blue and green hair!
