Thoughts on "The Lost"

"Changeling is a game of beauty and cruelty, of passion and loss, of dreams and madness. You have struggled your way back through the thorns only to find your life had been stolen from you. Now you make your way the best you can, attempting to piece together the fragments of your lost life or to forge a new one, chasing your ambition through the ( Read more... )

Yeah, from what I've seen you've hit the nail on the head. I've got a dozen different ideas in my head, but I'm waiting till June 23 when I can snag a copy of the Lost Quick Start guide to work further.

I think it's important to note that while that's true you are an escapee, you were also inexolerably altered by that experience. You're aware of darkness and hope and fae magic and affects on the world now. You are physically altered by your time there. So while you aren't the reflection of a god, you may in fact have elements of the fae that have changed you ( ... )

Let me say that I agree with you completely, every point you've made. My fear isn't that there will be those that are imprinted by the Others/Fae and come back changed. It is in this that I believe that "Dreaming" has elements that resonate with "Lost", and that I support ( ... )

Heh, yah no the line is going to be difficult and is going to vary from PC to PC. I mean I know my group for example may well re-create sort of the idea of "everyone take a round table seat" but Edria knows she's still Edria and not Guenevere, if that makes sense. It's something that's a big internal difference for me despite my ability to articulate it.

The fae are a hugely more present threat. You don't want your Keeper coming after you. Period. It's part of what I like though as it gives a strong unity point for PC's - as well as a lot of tension. Like what _DO_ we do with Nick's PC who liked the glory of being a gladiator-esque concept versus Edria who can't imagine wanting to be enslaved in any manner? What about PC's who as pets were better treated than they were in the mortal lives? It's a huge conflagaration of RP options but nothing like C:tD.

Mostly though? Lots of folks sound enthused. I don't hear a lot of "damn I wish...": from what's come out so far which to me is a big indicator. :)
