For those of you interested in Mage, the winner of the WW contest "I can't get to GenCon, send me a free book" actually took a lot of time to write up spoilers and answer questions in a highly informative and intelligent fashion... go figure?!
Anyway, here is the link to that rather long (but again HIGHLY informative) thread.
Lucky Winner Tells All With that in mind I also have a rough idea which you can check out below, for a Legacy (which is the rough Mage equivalent to a Vampire Bloodline or Forsaken Lodge). If you are interested
check it out:
Legacy Concept
Name: Katakrisimos "The Judged"
Nickname: The Half-Dead
Path: Moros
Third Favored Sphere: Fate
Rough Summary: Made up of those mages who through their visitations with alternate existential quests have had the same similar encounter. A meeting with an aspect of death in one of his many cultural forms, a partially recalled conversation wherein Death spoke of the fact that they had been sloted to join him at that instant, to leave the mortal realm and travel into the next plane. However, Death decided that they were not ready for such travels, that they still had more to do upon the world, and he sent them back. But he did not send them back whole. During their dicussion they are each made aware of two culturally identifying coins in their hands, the Death aspect takes up these coins and after judging the mage as not ready for death keeps one of the two coins. The second he returns, by forcing the object through the eye of the mage's spiritual form. Marking both his spiritual form and his mortal body with an off colored and sometimes lambent eye.
The mage is awoken at this juncture and is touched ever more by Death, gaining a sort of resonance with the entropic nature of the world and gaining some touch of Fate upon the world.
They are the Judged, the Katakrisimos, they walk with half thier way paid into the beyond.
