My two-month mark is rapidly approaching here in Japan. Things are going pretty smoothly and pressure-free. The only exception is that the second day of work - or maybe it was my first day - the agent mentioned that it had been requested that we create new material.
Really? I just got here and haven't even had the chance to spread my scent around the my room, let alone get a hang of the show pace and you're already putting this in my lap? It's a good thing I can deliver or at least I think I can. To be truthful, I don't recall having felt so confident in my clowning. Here, I'm cementing the ideals of simplicity, keeping connected with your audience, and having a clear story. This journey is good for me.
Today it has been snowing throughout the day, although nothing is accumulating now that the sun's up and what little accumulation there was has disappeared. This is the first snow since I've been here. It's been plenty cold - not as cold as I'm used to for this time of year - but there has been no snow.
