(Before I reply to the review itself, I just want to say that I'm so extremely honoured and flattered that one of my favourite authors has come to review my fic XD)
I have to agree with you about the spur-of-the-moment fics. Planned fics never work out too well for me, maybe that's why I don't do multi-chapters, heh. Its probably just the whole oh-my-god-I-need-to-write-this part about it :DD
Oh dear. I must have missed the perspective thing. I was editing things right in the middle of writing it, and... I must have gotten mixed up D: I only intended for the bracketed thoughts to be in first person, everything else in third. Thanks very much for the feedback!
Oh man, you're making me blush :DD Thank you for all the lovely compliments about my writing XD They mean the world to me (all reviews have this effect on authors, right? Its not just me being queer?).
I don't really do obscure pairings much, just for this time, really (well, this collection that is). Its more fun than I would have expected, heh. Oh, and I really love your Little Romances collection, sorry I didn't have time to review every single one of them. (I'm REDskies on ff.net, by the way.)
Thank you for giving me such a wonderfully detailed review, and reading! Take care too :D
You're welcome! And thank you for your wonderful reviews (and I'm glad that you liked Little Romances, I totally understand about not having time to review. ^^)
Ah, the fact that you write even one little collection of more obscure and under appreciated pairings/characters makes me uber happy. I rarely read Shugo Chara fanfiction (I don't even bother to look through the section on FF.Net) because most of it is the same old cliche stuff. Either every fanfic is Amuto or about Ikuto or about Amu. Or they'll be complete and utter AUs or they have a story that just bashes Tadase or something. I'm also just a really picky reader when it comes to my fanfiction. ^^;
Oh, and the perspective thing. It's not that big a deal, especially in a one-shot like this one, where it adds to the haunting feeling of the story. If it was a more narrative piece, then it would be a problem, but since it is mostly inner dialogue and conflict...it just adds to it. And, gosh, I've done the POV switch so many times when I've been writing fanfiction, it's ridiculous! XD
Finally thing I have to say, I agree with you on the whole multi-chaptered fic problem. I have the same. That's why I usually write one-shots, drabbles, or one-shot series that are loosely connected. It's far easier for me to write. When I plan out a story, the idea sounds good in my head...until I have to actually sit down and write it. Then I'm like, "Ugh, do I really have to!?" So yeah, I'm the same way. :) (And yes, most authors do enjoy reviews! ^.~)
