Psalm 42

Aug 10, 2008 17:46

As a dying animal in the desert thirsts for water,
So my soul thirsts for you, Oh God
My soul thirsts for Jesus,
For the Living God

When will I be able to come and kneel before him? These heart aches have become my food
Day in and Night,
While my friends say to me all day and night long
"Where is your God?"

These words I remember,
as I pour out my soul for my God:

How I would go with the crowd of the friends whom I love
and lead them with me into the house of God
With cheers and songs of praise,
in a mass of those rejoicing in God's name.

Why are you broken down and crushed, Oh my Soul.
Why are you in such pain inside of me?
Yet I hope in God, and I will again worship him
My salvation and my God.

My soul is crushed down inside of me Oh God,
Therefore I remember you.
