I Don't Write In This Anymore, Do I?
I thought I'd do this edited meme as a memory of the year 2010. It tootled off a while ago, but all the same.
1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Started a career in the fitness industry.
5. What countries did you visit?
None. This needs to change.
6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
Money (so painfully broke all of last year). Just enough to not worry. To be able to buy new clothes and the food I want at the supermarket would be nice.
7. What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
29th October, my birthday gig. It was excellent.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Tenacity in the face of adversity. Going through all that training and ending up flat on my back for 6 months after a car accident in May was devastating and difficult. I'm still here though. Just very poor!
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not taking a different route home that day?
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A Big Trak for Sam's birthday. He loved it.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Sam, for putting up with me being a nightmare.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Management. Think about people! Not just your business!
14. Where did most of your money go?
Mortgage and bills.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My birthday. And Christmas. Was just desperate for some time off.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you
i. happier or sadder? Not sure. I'd just qualified this time last year and I was feeling pretty optimistic.
ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner. Losing weight for the wedding.
iii. richer or poorer? Definitely poorer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Spending time on myself and giving myself a break.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Worrying. Constantly.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent it driving round everywhere to cover all families. Six Christmases in total. It was good though.
21. Did you fall in love in 2010?
I always am.

Zero.

No, I'm not a hater. Although I can think of people I now heavily dislike that I didn't know this time last year.

Swag by Elmore Leonard, The Haunting Of Hill House by Shirley Jackson and The Neverending Story.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Janelle Monae. I LOVE YOU JANELLE
27. What did you want and get?
A new career, and I got it, albeit a very shaky one. Not earning enough to get by just yet. That's what 2011 will be all about.
28. What did you want and not get?
A steady income. It's boring but lack of money has made my life miserable. I need to go through my life not having to worry about whether I can afford to eat.

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Had a brilliant week turning 30. Went to a day spa for the first time ever, spent loads of time with Catie and Sam, played the best gig of my life and had a raging good party.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I'd made enough money to leave my part-time gym job in Morley. It makes me miserable. I told myself I'd give it five months. Ten months later and I'm still there.
33. What kept you sane?
Sam. The band. And Catie.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
Lots of lovely members at all the places I work, making everything more bearable.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010.
Don't take it all so personally.

Taking way too much tramadol and having to work a shift. I spent the whole thing being sick.

Dressed as an orang utan at a house party in Nottingham, holding hands with a cat and a bee.

I was at home being really ill.

Go to Berlin with my best friend. Get married. Get Pilates qualified. Go to the Secret Garden Party for maybe the last time. Take over the world with Aerockbics.
