I thought the scenes with the two battlestars and how clever the tactics were was just amazing.
The atmospheric jumps after dropping off the vipers?! SO COOL.
The long camera pullback as FOUR basestars pound the crap out of Galactica, after Adama has all but given up -- then we see two long missle trails heading into the fray from Pegasus?! Amazing. We all knew it was going to happen, and they managed to make it cool anyway! That scene where they all abandon ship and he rams the Pegasus into one Basestar and manages to hit another one on the rebound was GREAT.
I'm a little worried about the next episode, though. I really want Sharon Agathon to stay on the side of the angels, without question, from now on. But I feel like when she finds out about her baby, that might not happen. I do understand the writers had to have them lose the baby, though -- otherwise it would've seemed like the humans had unqualified wins across the board, which was highly unlikely.
Where are Baltar and Six, though? On one of the civilian ships? How is he going to hide Six now that everyone knows she a skin-job and he was associating freely with her before NC?
It looks like next episode, all the characters most mentally and/or physically damaged by the Cylons are going to start disappearing people who they feel were collaborators. Should be a dramatic and low-tech episode. They must've blown a couple episodes' budgets on this one!
My impression is that they evacuated with the rest of the Cylon and 3 kinda offered him a position of some sort.
Gah. The post-collaboration fall-out - I've been thinking of poor Gaeta. He was doing some fabulous spying but he was also collaborating and no-one knows it was him and now he's going to have all this twisted understanding of Baltar that isn't going to help at all.
I'm worried about Gaeta too! I think what's got to happen is he's got to confess to Adama, tell him sort of what he told Gaius this week... that he believed in the dream of New Caprica and suffered the consequences, but he did his best in feeding information to the resistance. Then Adama's got to forgive him, because he wasn't on New Caprica and should have a clearer head when it comes to "collaborators" like Gaeta.
I'm also interested to see what happens to Jammer, since he really *was* a collaborator, but I'm not sure anyone knows it.
I really don't think Baltar could have escaped with the colonists. He knows they would kill him in the blink of an eye. I'm waiting to see what happens next week, but my theory is that he & Six go off with the cylons.
And I agree about the blown budget. The special effects were amazing and I'm sure they were expensive as all hell, but it was so worth it.
agreed!

Poor Jammer. I think Cally knows - she'll use it too if she thinks she has to.
