One moment, Russia had been enjoying his mid-morning cup of tea in front of the fireplace when the next moment, he was wondering how he ended up in the streets of Moscow seemingly window-shopping with Vietnam. In truth, there was really a span of an hour or so from the time she knocked on his door asking if he was free to getting his coat and hat to then window-shopping with Vietnam. In fact it was probably a little bit longer since they walked from his house.

Now, don't think for one minute that he didn't like spending time with her, considering they were almost friends, but sometimes... things were a little awkward, especially if America was brought up. At least she was strong-willed, he figured, watching her silently as she looked at various things in the windows of stores. It was one of the things he'd always liked about her, that she didn't do what she was told... by anyone. He smiled as she talked at him as opposed to with him. It's kind of hard to talk with someone when they don't say anything back, so it was kind of his own fault.

After about half an hour of meandering and gawking at shiny clothes and jewelry, Russia began to wonder if this constituted a date. Did it? Sure, it was impromptu as she practically yanked him from his home to spend time with her, but if it was technically a "date"... he didn't mind. It was nice being around her, especially since she didn't force him to talk or behave more... conventionally. That smile didn't fade as his heart filled with warmth at the thought of being on a date with Vietnam. He'd never exactly thought of her in... that way before but now that he got to spend quality time listening to her and getting to know her... It was just a bonus that she was beautiful!

Ah! A moment of silence lulled its way between them as they paused in front of a high-class jewelry store. This was his chance to finally express his happiness at being with her! Of course she would love to hear that, right? Women liked hearing that men liked being with them and that they were beautiful, right? His heart felt funny... kind of like it was beating oddly fast and fluttery. It crossed his mind that he might just pop if he kept his mouth shut. This was it! He was going to stop being shy and tell her how he felt! He was going to tell her everything!

His face flushed red and warm as he opened his mouth shakily to speak.

"Ey, V'yetna-" His quiet tone was cut off by her voice. Maybe that was a good thing though, considering he hadn't yet figured out what he was going to tell her... exactly.

"Nga, I really like this necklace." She said it as though she were ordering food, sure and straightforward. For some reason, it didn't exactly feel like a request as she pointed at a very lovely silver choker with with diamonds periodically dripping from the bulk of the piece. Russia wondered to himself if... she was asking him to buy it for her. Women liked gifts, right? Expensive gifts? Maybe, she'd like him back if he bought it for her-

"Mỹ ... I wonder if America would get it for me-"

"I will b-b-buy it for you, V'yetnam!" The words flew out of his mouth before he could stop them or really think about them. "D-do... not be worryink, I will g-get this for you..." His face was still red as he leaned towards the window to read the price.

Twenty minutes later, Russia's wallet felt much lighter but the smile on Vietnam's face when she wore the necklace made that not really matter anymore.
