[TRANS] 120115 JYJ South America Concert Tickets - First Round Of Sales Sold Out
Popular Korean group JYJ will be holding concerts in South America and the first round of ticket sales was sold out in 2 days.
JYJ will be holding their concerts in Chile on 9 March and Peru on 11 March. There are 5000 seats for both performances and within the first round of sales, 80% of all the seats were sold.
According to JYJ's management company, fans in Peru were seen queuing overnight before the day of the ticket sales in order to purchase tickets right in front of the stage. Peru's leading newspaper [El Comercio] reported, "JYJ are Korean artists and even though you can't purchase their album in Peru (t/n: it doesn't retail there), they have set a great record. In only 30 minutes, thousands of fans came gathering in hopes of buying the tickets and their popularity could be seen."
The promoter for the concert said, "Even for American pop singers who held concerts in South America, such a case of tickets selling out imemdiately has never happened before. The staff in South America were really astonished by such a response."
