[TRANS] 111117 SM Entertainment To Hold 'Global Auditions' In 5 Countries
SM Entertainment (henceforth SM), the management company for girl group SNSD and male group TVXQ, will be holding a large-scale global audition.
On 17 November, SM said, "From 7 January until 24 March next year, the [2011 SM Global Auditions] will be held in 15 cities across 5 countries; Korea, China, America, Canada and Japan."
The global auditions will be held next year in Busan on 7 January, Daegu on 8 January, Daejeon on 14 January, Gwangju on 15 January and Seoul from 28-29 January. Following that, it will be held in China and America in February, then Canada and Japan in March.
Anyone can participate regardless of nationality, gender and age. Those who excel among the participants are given the opportunity to sign a contract with SM and debut after going through training that they will provide. SM stated, "Beyond Asia, our singers also enjoy high popularity in America, Europe and South America, so we are expecting enthusiastic response towards the auditions."
