[TRANS] 100825 SM Entertainment To Charter A Plane For 300 People For SMTOWN LA
A plane will be chartered for the [SMTOWN LIVE'10 WORLD TOUR] in LA. For the concert on 4 September, to be held at Staples Center in Los Angeles, USA, SM Entertainment has specially hired a Korean Air Boeing 747-400.
With artists like Kangta, BoA, Yunho (U-know), Changmin (Max), Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, f(x), Trax, Kim Minjung, Lee Yeonhee, Ara as well as other concert staff added together, there is a huge number of people involved. Also, as there have been a flood of requests from fans who wish to go to the LA concert together, a plane has been specially chartered for roughly 300 people.
When ticket sales for the LA concert opened on 24 July, more than 15,000 seats were sold immediately. SM Entertainment said, "It is estimated that 70% of the ticket holders for the LA concert are not Koreans. Concert goers will be coming from Canada, Vancouver and Toronto, New York, Washington DC, South Carolina, Georgia and other parts of the East Coast of the USA."
The [SMTOWN LIVE'10 WORLD TOUR] kicked off in Seoul on 21 August and will be followed by the concert in Staples Center, LA, then Hongkou Stadium, Shanghai, China, on 11 September. The concert will be held in Tokyo, Japan, in January 2011, as well as other major cities in Asia.
