I bet almost all the earnings came from AVEX not from SM...

if you look closely,, the number of their album selling is not that high (at least it doesn't reach a very high number --> if you compare with the selling number of Japan's no.1 album this year) but it could bring 91.2 billion won.. but the concert is just 35.94 won.. I bet those money are from TSC tour..

where's the money from Mirotic concert in Thai and china???
the money from AADB3???
no money from their DVDs, no money from their photobook????
that reporter Jung Soo ryang is very ridiculous

??? What do you mean the reporter is ridiculous?

AATVXQ3 was only released after Cassiopeia announced the boycott. You must realize that for the last half of the year, Cassiopeia was boycotting SM goods, and in the first half, they were in Japan the whole time. It actually makes sense that their Japanese earnings are a lot higher.

When they say albums, they mean singles, albums & DVD.

but it still on the TOP selling in HMV or maybe in another places too.. have you been look at their page when the day it selling??
Fans are boy-cotting in the name of cassie, but NOT all the cassie and fans all over the world are boy-cotting.. and their photobook was sold about 2 weeks before the dispute,, then where's the money?
I mean if they were not going to have this lawsuit this kind of things would be happen again in the future,, they went to saipan and no money for them

"TVXQ was able to reap such earning regardless of the fact that they are in such unfavorable conditions with the legal dispute," and "If their had been no legal dispute, they would have earned much more than this amount."

I think she's only read the amount, not looking to our boys' work one by one and count them..the important thing is not that they got a huge amount of money, but it has to be balanced with all their works.

The reporter is not making a negative statement about them. I think you are misunderstanding the point of the article.

The journalist point is that TVXQ has gone beyond the boundaries of Korea, and is a star in Japan as well as the whole of Asia. Also, she is stating that out of all the Korean celebrities, they are the highest-earning artists. There is nothing degrading about that, in fact, a lot of people would like to hold that title.

They are looking at the financial conditions and terms of these artists. Why would they take into account the effort the artists supposedly put in? The journalist is reporting based on facts, not feelings.

As I mentioned to you, when Korean news mentions 'albums', that term includes CD, DVDs and everything that comes along with it.

Also, I don't understand why you are being so suspicious of the figures.

I actually thought the tours would bring in more revenue for some reason.

i'm assuming that the average ticket for their TSC concert was ¥7,000 (it was the rough amount they gave on Star Show last year), and if they sold 300,000 (lesser, i think) tickets, that would amount to USD$22,733,966.44.

"I hope to see TVXQ come to a reasonable agreement with their agency and return to the stage in good spirits."

She's not taking sides or anything. It would be logical to say that, since the members are the ones filing for the case.

Also, considering everything, it would be weird for a reporter to say "I hope SME comes to a reasonable agreement with TVXQ", when the company was not the one who started the lawsuit.

-sigh- Seriously, this is proof of how much the world around appreciates DBSK's music. Congratulations to the boys for selling so much, but I still feel down reading something like this. It saddens me to know that a HUGE portion of that money goes to SME, rather than the boys themselves.
