Ahh, Kaguya. Please. **She extends her arm, offering a sit.**

Hmm... actually, how should I address you? Formally, or casually?

[She does so]

I'm not picky. Whichever you'd like. Or both!

**Akiha produces another cup from her basket and hands it to Kaguya.**

You may find this odd, but I'm more accustomed to Western tea traditions. **And she pours tea from the thermos into the cup**

Well it's always fun to try something different.

Still, is Japan that much Westernized?

Some people still hold traditions, but myself, my family, we prefer Western traditions.

Oh. What's your family like then?

[Kaguya then takes a sip]

My family here, or my brother? I'm certain you already know Shiki. It's possible you've met Kohaku as well. I've another maid who is not here... Hisui.

Oh, I met Shiki and Kohaku. But what about the rest of your family from home? Like your parents?

They passed away, some time ago.

Don't worry yourself over it. It was some time ago. And we're better for it.

Often times my father was not what you'd call a... kind man.

**Awkward indeed. Well then... let's take a sip then.**

If it's alright to ask, what about your parents? I would hope after so long you could remember them?

Ah...it was so long ago.

They were very distant. They wanted no part in taking care of children so they just had be raised by others-nurses, teachers, that sort of thing. Eirin was more like a parent than they were.

I think they've disowned me entirely, even if they don't officially say so.

My life was much treated the same. Not exactly, but, to be raised by others, rather than the parents.
