Not only have I already completed the forms, but I put them in the mail yesterday. However, I found them to be somewhat simpler and complicated at the same time.

Yes. Generally, when you're paid, the government takes a fraction of what you earn and keeps it in order to fund city-related expenses. When you file your taxes, they government generally returns a certain amount of what they took back. However, if you haven't been getting money taken out of your pay, then you owe the government money.

It's not something you or I need to worry about here, however. I'm simply used to having to fill out the paperwork myself.
