Money, money money money. I'm sad. My Abba owns the cattle on a thousand hills and yet we can't afford to buy a $35.00 hammock. Jesus help me get over this! I don't need a hammock! But boy do I want one. I haven't wanted to sit and sulk like this in forever. All of a sudden I don't want to do anything. Where is my faith? Where is the continual ( Read more... )

Rachel! Has it really been a few years since I've seen and talked to you?

Can I just say this . . . the thing that I remember from you and your husband both, even before you were dating, was the continual, even at times random, praise -- Hallelujah! AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS! That is one of the most striking things that I have ever seen in a person I have met--to praise in the midst of everything! That is something that I haven't ever forgotten. Every time I think of you and Michael, I see you guys yelling out Hallelujah on campus, at the beach, at the movies, in the mall. Praise is what He desires from us! Praise pleases Him! Praising him in the midst of a storm is not empty. Even if you don't feel it, your soul, your very being, the part of you that is saturated with His presence is praising. You praise in advance for the blessings that he has given in the past. You praise Him for your sending you your husband, you praise him for your coming baby. You also praise, thanking Him for the blessings that are yet to come, for His continued, awesome, wonderful provision. For His Grace, His Mercy, His Love, His protection. He will always meet your needs! He hears your heart's desires, your most intimate wishes, your deepest hopes for your family's wellbeing. Your praise affects more than you can know! It may seem empty, but there is more to praise than emotion. Praise is giving credit to whom credit is due.

Has He left us? Has He forgotten us? No. Does He not see our struggles, our pain, our weekness? He does. Will He ever leave us? Never. Praise. Praise! Praise, Rachel! Praise, Michael! HALLELUJAH for His Grace!!!!!!! HALLELUJAH for His Love!!!!!!!! HALLELUJAH for His UNENDING provision!!!!!!! HALLELUJAH!
