Since it was asked and I spazzed out!!
Asianwashedgirl..THANK YOU! I forgot I had posted that we were waiting for the election results until I read you comment. LJ is STILL being stupid and not emailing me my comments so I have to go back through old posts every day to see if people commented. Arg! (although, it's not like I don't have anything else to do..lol). Anyways...
So if my dad got re-elected he has a conference scheduled in Vegas for August. My parents go to Vegas a few times a year and def. do their part in supporting the city's economy. So usually when they go, they're able to get their rooms comped at certian hotels (Ballys/Paris). When they took me to Vegas for my 21er, they paid for their room and my best friend Melissa and I had our room comped. So, the last time we took a "family" trip to Vegas, I was 16. My brother is 3 years younger then me so he didn't come for my 21er, and I wasn't able to go for his. So, mom said if dad won, if Nick and I could spring for airfare then she would get our room comped. I thought, how much fun! It'll be right after our 1 year anniversary, I REALLY want to see Blueman Group (I saw Lance Burton for my birthday) and I haven't been down there since they opened the Palms (hi, LOOONG time) and I'm dying to go there (maybe a tattoo at Hart and Harrington??). SO..after all of the rambeling...mom called bout 9:30. I have her ringtone the most annoying on my phone...it's this god aweful blare of an alarm. So it rings, I know it's her. I get up, answer the phone and she SCREAMS...WE'RE GOIN TO VEGAS!! LOL. It was a really close race. My dad won by 29, yes 29 votes. Huge. The guy he ran against is just a jackass. He's asked for a re-count, but hasnt gone through the proper channels so who knows if it'll be done. It doesn't matter. They have a third party CPA check it, recheck it and sign off on it. I guess my dad was flooded with phone calls yesterday. I called him that night, he sounded almost baffeled. I just told him "Dad, it's 3 more years then you're done. You can retire". He agreed. So, after we move (IF we move..another story), we'll start looking into Vegas airfare. You can always find good deals, and my mom has AlaskaAir miles and said she'd spring the extra $50.00 bucks a pop for us to fly first class (we never have and it's only a little over a 2 hour flight, but would still be fun none the less!).
In other news, I'm waiting for a call from our realitor who's NOT making me happy. He's kinda screwing me around here and Nick and I are waiting on an answer to our question to decide whether or not we proceed with buying. Blah.
I'm also going to call my dr. back about my "problem..." Interesting to see what they have to say. Nick has the car today and the house is cleaned, laundry done and I'm bored. So I'll be around.
