Electric Beach
Howie and I went snorkeling on the west side of the island this weekend. There is an electrical power plant perched right on the beach and underwater pipes release warm water into the ocean and it attracts lots of fish. Howie and I swam as far offshore as I've ever been - we swam all the way out to where two boats were moored off the coast. Later my (new) friend Stephanie warned me to be careful of sharks out there. But, really, if you are a quarter mile off the shore and a shark starts circling you, what can you do?
