(no subject)
You know, I feel like a marine... what is it they say? "We get more done by noon, than most people do inan entire day?" Total paraphrasing... but whatever... I'll bet I get a nasty reply for messing that one up. So I woke up at 6:45 for my 8 AM class!! mmhmm... Then I went to the bookstore with Erin(my roomie) and we swapped/picked up the rest of our books... Had to wait in the AWFUL LINE 2 X. Then Erin left me to go see her boyfriend. Grace was supposed to come this weekend, but sadly that didn't work out. We're still on for September 16th though! So you know what I did? I stripped my sheets(which is a pain in the ass on the loft, let me tell you... side note: I'm looking at the bed and I just keep thinking how terible it would be to climb when you're drunk... anyway... Then I went downstairs and did my laundry... Washed my sheets and towels and clothes... did 3 loads, which took me like 2 hours. I tried to do some homework, but I was just not focusing. It's so unfair. Nobody has half the work/reading i have!! I mean, Erin hasn't even been to an entire class... She went to nursing for 20 minutes and then was dismissed... RIDICULOUS!! all my teachers are like "we stay for the entire required time. Anyway, So then I came back up here, Cleaned the whole room(which Erin didn't think I'd do... hahaha we'll see what she says! I mean I even vaccummed (sp?) and took out ALL of our trash... and there was a lot let me tell you. I put new sheets on my bed, got new towels out... Cleaned out my closet and reorganized my drawers... went to the student union to get my mail... and then came back and started reading... Reconstruction is not very interesting...let me tell you. But i'm trying. History is pretty fascinating though.... I mean It's an entirely different point of view down here. So... I'm here alone for the weekend...Pretty much EVERYONE has gone home. I look out the parking lot from my window, and it's empty. USually, you can't find a place to park. And the people who are here are all rushing. Erin and I are the only 2 who arent on our floor, because we all know I can't handle that... and the recruiter was real snooty... My roomie was about to turn in her form, ands changed her mind at the last minute after we met these girls... WHEW! STORY! so we were walking back from the "Strom Thurmond WEllness Center" which is off of "Strom Thurmon Parkway" though nobody has been able to explain to mne exactly why these things are named after a racist man... but anyway... and we saw this homeless man... and there are quite a few in Columbia... I mean not like DC, but theyre around. And this guy takes off his pants. and this was a pretty cool day for SC. So we're like, ok, hes gotta have shorts right?? NOOOOOOO The man was entirely in the nude... yep! STARK NAKED! and the guys behind us were like DID YOU SEE THAT?!!! WERE LIKE HOLY SHIT!! thats so illegal! and then we went to the African American Association of Students annual cookout. Haha... Us and our RA(who's a thug but totally awesome) were the only white people there... yep. haha it was crazy... Well, I have a lot of studying to do BLEH so I'm off...
