For english class Im supposed to write an essay on something I believe in- like family, or friends, or sports or something we're passionate about. Mine bends the rules completely and I basically love it. Comment me for suggestions, that'd be helpful.
WELL HERE GOES:
I believe in Coffee Houses; I believe in Road trips, in late night walks and in playgrounds. I believe in God, in energizer batteries, and in poetry that comes from the heart. I believe in cheesy love movies, in a good book and blanket on a rainy day. I believe in White chocolate mocha in the summer time, and iced tea in the winter. I believe in hearing someone compliment you, in complimenting someone else, and smiling just because. I believe in parties that last until the break of dawn, I believe in
the simple arguments that you can laugh at. I believe in voicing your opinion, in abortion, and the war in Iraq. I believe in jamming on instruments you don’t know how to play, I believe in bright colored walls. I believe that the world is full of things we know nothing about. I believe in Christian rock bands that sing death metal and the legendary Tupac. I believe in hicks,
Bohemians and everything in between. I believe in rock-n-bowl, and saying no to running the dreaded mile. I believe in love, in hate, in friendship and in true disbelief. I believe in having morals, and following through on them. I believe in trying everything once, and in blue pens. I believe money burns a whole in my pockets. I believe in working hard and hardly working. I believe in saying “I love you” and meaning it, I believe in best friends. I believe in last chances, fate, and calculators. I believe in show tunes, and Broadway musical soundtracks. I believe in forgiving and forgetting, and in regret. I believe in saying “please and thank you” and putting the fabric cloth on your lap when out to a restaurant. I believe racism is bad, and so is National Security. I believe or president is a moron, but there’s nothing we can do about it. I believe in DejaVu, I believe in movie theaters, and flicks that make you cry no matter how many times you watch them. I believe in teenage drama, and crushes. I believe in laughing at nothing, prom queens and kings, and arcade bracelets. I believe in blank CDs, in art, and in straws. I believe in breaking the law, in obeying the rules, and pulling over for the cops. I believe in coloring books, and making virgin daiquiris. I believe in the precious moments spent with friends. I believe in life.
