Gah...I want to update, but I know I should be doing a hundred other things right now. But if I don't do it now, it's be like another six months until I do it.
OK, I'll try for short :-)
Nolan -- Amazing. He's a full blown toddler now. He no longer sleeps in a crib (we converted his crib to the next step, the toddler day bed), his vocabualry is exploding and he's just as silly as ever. He's started to be able to follow simple instructions and even answering yes and no to easy questions. I'm trying to let him make choices and learning how to divert his attention to other things if I see a melt down coming on...not that he has melt downs. We have YET to have a full blown tantrum. But I know it's coming...
We're still doing our Little Gym classes and are now going 3 times a week! Monday and Wednesday at the Providence Gym and then Tuesdays at the Jones Valley Gym. Nolan loves his teachers and really gets into the skills and activities we do together. Yeah mommy and son tumble time!
Dance -- Lots of it. I'm teaching Tuesday nights at 6:45 at The Studio; Wednesdays nights at 4:30 at the Matrix; and Thursday nights at 6:30 at the UFC...and yes, it's free to UAH students! I'm still taking Jade's ATS class on Tuesday nights and Lisa's Fusion class on Wednesdays. Then it's Lumani rehersal on Wednesday nights and then every third Sunday for music. Whew.
New hobbies -- After taking a class at TribeOrginial, I've started trying to learn the basics of poi spinning. I've got a pair of sock poi made by Claire Metz. I can't wait to graduate to veil poi or LED poi. I've also started hoop dancing, which I'm also LOVING. I've aquired two hoops so far...one HUGE and one reglar trick size. Hopefully I'll be good enough to perform with it in the next year or so...maybe even start some classes!
Work -- I'm still working weekends at The Little Gym. Both the Providence and Jones Valley locations.
New Baby -- We got a dog! She's a 10 month old black and white Jack Russel mix that weighs about 15 pounds...and she's crazy. We adopted her from MARF in October. Even though we love her dearly, I can see why someone wanted to give her up. She can be a little over whelming.
OK, enough for now! Back to work!
