Today was amazing. Period.
I read amazing research on the biological pathways of bipolar disorder. Exciting research which explains the mechanism of the disorder and gives explanations as to why lithium and anticonvulsants are effective as they are. I was amazed and ecstatic and shocked to find such research on a disorder that has always had someone elusive pathophysiology.
I created a powerpoint presentation in less than an hour explaining free radicals and antioxidants and the damage done to the brain that results in bipolar disorder. I hyped myself up for the presentation on Wednesday. I can't wait to share this new research with everyone.
I started creating a crap bibliography to hand in for my history class tomorrow. While taking down titles of books I could use for this topic I had no interest in, I came across a name: Gregory the Great. Suddenly, I had a spark of inspiration and chose a new topic--the development of polyphonic music in the middle ages. I cannot wait to research this and delve into medieval music history and theory again.
I am no longer scared of this week, but am looking forward to it and ready to take it on head first.
