Gurren lagann Artbook Scans

Here are the "scans" from the Lagann-hen movie pamphlet and Kamina&Simon artbook

I'm not so sure if my scanner is large enough to scan these, so I took them with my humble camera. D: Sorry for the glare and fuzziness in some of them.

Sherlock Holmes! Are you going to go see the coming movie? :DDD

Huuur, I can't believe I forgot to do this. ORZ"

Ah! I remember why, I was typing up the characterization, and I never did the summary. 8D; *baka baka*

HERE'S YOUR SUMMARY/REVIEW. IM DIGGING THROUGH MY BRAIN A MONTH BACK XD;

Mm, the movie starts where Lord Genome was beating up Simon during the last moments of their battle, and Simon pierces his drill through Lord Genome and that drama in epi 15. :]
After that, they passed through the 7 years with flashes of events and Nia writing in letters addressed to Kamina in a journal, including Simon standing with Nia on the podium as the new commander waving to the crowd (Simon's bangs were brushed back, it was amusing), Simon using his drill to make the Kamina memorial statue, and Kiyol with her newborn (she gave birth before Simon proposes to Nia).
Then is starts out basically the same, Simon proposes to Nia after lunch and she refuses. But Kiyal and Kiyol persuades Nia to change her mind, and instead of telling him on the phone, she told him at a park (I think it was a park, it had a large fountain) at night. The scene is more romantic; Simon and Nia embrace each other and are about to kiss when the antispiral activates the messenger side of Nia.
Simon stand clueless of what had happened, and the mugen appear. The events are the same as the TV series afterwards, Simon gets arrested and has a trial, and is sentenced to death, but without going after a large mugen with Kinon strapped to a bomb.
The prison scenes were one of my favorite scenes. Simon is unresisting to the other prisoners beating him up, starting from the cafeteria where they knock over his lunch and push him to the ground, and after the shower where they are beating him on the floor. Viral jumps in and gives the prisoners a lesson.
While in their prison cells, Simon converses with Viral, and Viral notices a glow coming from Simon's hand. Simon created a *slightly floating* drill from his spiral power (from the spirit of his words), but Simon closes his palm and erases it when Viral noticed. Messenger-Nia appears in front of Simon telling him about Despair, and is about to erase Simon's existence with a purple-coloured death-ray. Viral bends the bars jumps in front to save Simon, as he is immortal, and in time Yoko and the Gurren-dan come to save them.
After they escaped from jail and were trying to find the source of the antispiral on the moon, Lord Genome enters this virtual, video-game like world. (It's funny cause he uses his head to bang open things, and the source is the "treasure" he finds in the virtual treasure box)
The rest go the same, except Simon saves Rossiu from suiciding in his office instead of Rossiu's homeplace.
In space, when the Gurren-dan was preparing for the final battle, Simon was shown connecting lagann to ark-gurren lagann. Also, the gurren-dan drank for their success in the last moments of preparation.
The most epic scene was the final battle. Besides Kittan sacrificing himself, the most significant difference was when the Tengen Toppa gets beat up, literally ripped apart into pieces, by the anti-spiral tengen toppa, and the parts form into their own tengen toppas, such as Nia's Solvernia. Together, they formed the final form of the Gurren lagann, the cho-tengen toppa gurren lagann, in the shape of a god-like Kamina. Simon defeated the Antispiral a glowing drill formed around his hand (sort of like the drill he was forming while in prison).
In the end, the movie shows scenes that lead up to the wedding such as Kittan's sisters mourning for their him, Simon standing in front of lagann and gently resting a hand on it, as if thanking it. And before the wedding Nia hands Yoko her journal of letters, believing she was the best one to entrust the letters with. The wedding did not have much of a difference, but in the 20 years time jump, they did not show Rossiu and the others but only Simon helping fix a pipe. When the others thanked him, he only asked them to plant flowers in return. And so ends the movie. :]

I'm sorry if this wasn't what you expected. D:

Hahaha, that's fine.
