An ending

Friday saw an ending. For many years, since I was 13, I have started my day with the "Wake up to Wogan" breakfast show on radio 2, and after 27 years Terry Wogan is hanging up his mic and moving onto other things. There has been a lot of talk about this in the media, but none of it does justice. No one sums it up like the man himself, who says it with great humility, and could teach so many people in this day and age what it means to be someone. I think it is shown how things have changed by a BBC executive saying that the musics that Terry was playing on his last day, which meant so much to him, was being overly sentimental. There are 6 days left to listen to the last show. So, do yourself a favour and listen to it. Its the last opportunity, but if not, as least listen to the last 15 minutes to hear the sign off of one of the last great true knights of the realm.   www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00pbltq
