Elegance
I'm ashamed to admit it, but I realized just today that I've been thinking of elegance and my size as mutually exclusive. Then I saw pinkmitten's outfits post, and was simply gobsmacked. She's younger than I am (probably by a good 10 years, if not more - GOD I'M OLD), but I wonder what the secret is to really elegant, classic dressing.
Sure, it doesn't hurt to be young and naturally gorgeous, but is elegance something that your regular everyday woman can achieve? Is it a matter of fit and editing one's look and closet to a bare few essentials that just work no matter what? And how does one go about finding such pieces -- especially when finding even basic pieces (the right tops, pants that fit, much less in a good fabric, dresses, etc.) is difficult at best?
