I had by far the scariest dream I've ever had last night. I will do my best to document it as it's slowly fading away. Nevertheless, I woke up sweating and afraid to stand up:

There was this new "restaurant" type of place being built. From the outside, it looked more like a huge castle than a restaurant (no, it WASN'T  fucking "Medieval Times"). Jump ahead......I somehow uncover the new restaurant's terrible secret while working there: that they are serving human beings as the entrees. What they were doing was, they would lure children in under the guise of their visit being a field trip. I'm pretty sure Scott Baio was the guy in charge of it all. Or, he was the one calling a lot of the shots. Anyway, the kids would come in, and would be , to put it in a nutshell, kidnapped, and then processed....in pretty much the same fashion as cows and pigs would at a slaughterhouse. The rest of the town either had no idea or were in on it too and didn't seem to care. If you've ever seen "Hostel," the interior kind of resembled that (never actually saw the restaurant section that I recall), except with bags of human parts lying everywhere waiting for consumption. Pretty messed up. As I type this, I'm realizing how intense it all seemed and how insane it must sound. So anyway...basically, I'm the only hope at stopping this from continuing. I try to tell the town officials, the other adults, anyone who I think may listen. But everyone is just oblivious. Jump ahead......I end up undertaking a rescue mission with another woman to stop the new restaurant from continuing. She ends up not making it out alive. I'm inside the maze-like corridors of the building, trying to figure out what to do, when I'm caught. I don't remember the details of what happened after that, but I did somehow, in the struggle, manage to knock out Scott Baio's glass eye (who knew?). There was an older man involved who may have been the actual guy in charge. He was really creepy and sadistic. I'm chained up, being forced to eat pieces of my own legs and.....blackout.

Wake up (in the dream). It's probably forty years later. I'm in some kind of elegant room in a really fancy hotel, and we're having a dinner to recognize my efforts to stop the continuing massacre of children at the restaurant many years ago. It seems that I've been comatose this entire time, and have just awoken, an old man with the horrific memories still fresh in my mind. I tell everyone I need to go for a walk, so I end up walking through this enormous hotel, inexplicably wearing sunglasses. I get to a room that's apparently mine, walk in....when all of the terrible thoughts come rushing back to me at once. Everything starts spinning and I faint.

Wake up (in the dream again). A small group of my friends is standing over me, trying to bring me to consciousness. One of the women has three large bowls....one filled with spaghetti, one filled with marinara sauce, and the other with I think bread. They're trying to feed me. I finally stand up, when I realize that every wall in the room has a full-size mirror on it. I see my reflection....but all I see is an old man, resembling the one from the restaurant. It's too much, and I start to pass out again, spilling the bowls of food. My friends tell me I have to overcome my fear and just go look into the mirror. They force me over to one. I close my eyes......open them, and I see my reflection again. For whatever reason, I'm completely terrified of my own reflection and seeing it causes everything to go white and for me to end up on the floor. (for the record, I've never fainted or passed out in reality, but the faintings in this portion of the dream were about as realistic and disorienting as I imagine it would be) One more mirror....I am forced over to it, I look into it, and for some reason the light is low and I can't really see much. I tell the people with me "Oh, this one is okay. The light is much softer and it doesn't seem to affect me." Suddenly, same thing happens.....I see the old man with the long graying beard, the tweed jacket, the fedora, and the room flashes white and I'm out.

I then woke up in reality, and for some reason it was like nothing had changed. I lied in bed for at least fifteen minutes because I was deathly afraid of standing up and fainting.

It was a weird night.
