And if we hit it just right here...

I've noticed that there is a decided lack of anything that could be remotely personal (or even personable) on this site. This is not out of shyness mind you- just that I dislike boring people with boring details. Usually when I meet someone new I don't talk about myself much- preferring instead to make sardonic remarks about others (usually about people who don't shut up).

As a quick aside then; I got a quasi-promotion at work and am not in the trenches nearly as often anymore. In fact, almost never. I'm back living in Ogikubo which is great though the social scene within walking distance leaves something to be desired. I'm currently with a girl but trying to break things off (something everyone knows I'm very poor at)..Why? Many reasons but most stemming from the fact that she's significantly older than me and I fear she might be wanting to settle down in the near future. It's hard to break up in Japan... everywhere is so damn public.

Other than that I've added practising French to me education regiment. Twice in the past couple of weeks I've been challenged on my French and both times I was lost for words (might've been the beer mind you). Also been a great deal healthier; drastically cut my smoking (only when drinking or coffeebreaks), and doing pushups/situps at home. I'm even eating right these days! Orange juice, yoghurt and eggs (hard boiled) for breakfast are now a must- it's amazing how much more energy I have with an actual balanced breakfast that doesn't involve me cursing the night before.

I've been noticing that far too many unqualified people are doing much more interesting/better things that I and it's time to move in for a piece of the cake.

What I wouldn't do for a piece of real European cake right now...

PS- I hate Star Wars by the way.
PPS- The next post 'should' be a few pages from the zine. It's about damn time.
