Momento Mori

May 21, 2007 11:33

I apologize for my previous post (since deleted). I was in a foul mood but all's good now. I went to work today and found out that the University that I was to teach at was cancelled for the next two weeks on account of a measles epidemic so I got paid to sit in a cafe and study some philosophy and Japanese. All in all a nice day. But wait- could it get better? Yes I say! I actually recovered someone's dead hard drive using the put-it-in-the-freezer trick. Too bad that didn't work when that $hit happened to me.

The weather is starting to heat up and I can actually feel the temperature change when I climb up the ladder to my loft. This doesn't bode well.

My philosophic studies have yielded me that gem called a title. Momento Mori means "Remember you will die" or "Remember you have to die". Morbid as it may seem, it impressed me. Also, Plato was a righteous dude.

That stuff at the top are patterns to be used as background for a website- not quite sure how they would fit into my current project but it was fun to open up illustrator.

"It was fun to open up illustrator"? Jesus, I need to get out more.
