I got the 7 year old to actually obey me today! lol So he throws these huge temper tantrums all the time right? Well I usually send him to his room....or drag him kicking and screaming actually. Yesterday when I put him in his room I left him there for two hours. He asked if he could come out and telling him no sent him into another tantrum. For whatever reason he thinks he can decide when his punishment is over. Wonder where that came from? *COUGHhisparentsCOUGH* Anywho, today he refused to brush his teeth. I gave him the option of going to his room or brushing his teeth, and at first he started with the tantrum, but I reminded him of how long he was in his room yesterday and asked him if he would like to make it longer. He turned his little butt up the stairs and into the bathroom to brush his teeth right away. Woo! Victory is miiiiiiine! Muahahaha! Too bad it took the whole summer to get to this point. Oh well. Lesson learned.
