After waiting 3 months for the guys from AOV to get back to me on where to send the AOV website to, I finally sent it to them last night. Wish they would have gotten back to me sooner, I spent a shitload of time there trying to clean up the boards, even updating them while I waited. Glad to be done with that too, nothing ruins the fun of a game ( Read more... )

Thank you.

Thank you for all your hard work. Thank you for your dedication. Thank you for caring so much about the game that you freely volunteered your time, your energy, and your passion to maintain the site, and with it, AoV itself. I don't think I ever thanked you for that before, and I'm sorry that I haven't until now. You did so much for AoV, and you deserve praise for that.

Sadly, politics destroyed a game we all once loved. Many people who contributed many things to AoV now refuse to play it, because of the politics. I suppose this is the way of things. Even AoV was a shadow of its former self: Hero's Call. There was something pure about the game then, back when we were fresh gamers just looking for a chance to live the adventure of an RPG. And for a time, AoV was good, although simmering political tensions lurked in the background, just waiting to tear the system apart. Ultimately, the politics did just that. One by one, veterans and devoted gamers left the game feeling frustrated and sick of it all. It's a pity that it has come to this. But that is the reality we face.

Nevertheless, thank you for what you have done to sustain AoV while you could. Age of Valor may be dead, but we have our memories of the fun we had. Our creativity and passion for LARPing will live on through other ventures.

And on behalf of everyone indebted to you but didn't realize it: thank you one last time.
