Goddammit. Things are not doing well. I applied for some Americorps positions (one that I really, really wanted through the Center for Humanities) hoping that this would justify being rejected from grad schools as a great opportunity. I was in the top two for the one I really wanted. Is that supposed to make me feel better? And I checked around with other people who had offered jobs before, but "with the economy the way it is now, you know"... Damn economy, that's why I didn't get into grad schools! DAMN DAMN DAMN.
