oh lord! stuck in the lodi again
OK so my work situation kinda imploded for a week or so. I worked a night shift which turned out to be my last. Because of the things that happened they're not available anymore to me or anyone except two people who won't have problems with the nurse I don't get along with. For a while I was getting to be worried it was all my fault but lots of people there have a problem with her attitude. Only problem is that because of the situation I haven't had a shift in a week. NOT COOL with the money not being there. I got a good check coming I think and then NEXT check will be kinda light.
But despite that I still had a lot of fun. Last week I had an awesome night first at senior Ferguson's party then at a karaeoke (sp?) bar with Jamie and some of the Camp Wing people. Didn't really drink much at all, either. It's a bummer it got kinda broken up before Daryl got out of work! The people were really cool once I learned names, which I still remember now lol I got that name problem :) The bar was fun too, saw Jamie and Kevin and John sing and me and Conrad did "Never There" by Cake. The funny thing is the shirt I wore that night. It's my white shirt with the adidas style Football Club logo of the Manchester United soccer team. Wherever I go people comment on it, not always in a good way. At a bar once Jamie said "So, what position do you play?"... I felt clever because then I asked him what position he played for the red sox because of his sox hat. Touche, I thought :). At work one of the clients said I was too skinny to play football and I'd be killed. It was a female client, emasculatiooooooooon lol she wasn't mean she's crazy but cool. She's knocked out more guys than I probably ever will lol. At school I got random comments about it, some good some bad. It's my Myspace picture, I like the shirt.
Anyways at the karaeoke bar I'm walkin back to the table with a couple beers for me and me mate when this random guy stops me and says something like "Hey man, you're wearin a soccer jersey?" Not that I'm complaining about all this, it's just wierd cuz I don't see this shirt as a big brash shirt that says "I play soccer so I'm cool!" I see a shirt with a cool lookin logo that's for a team that has fans that I've worked with. It was a while ago, but they were cool people!
Next day I went to a PawSox game with my brother and some family and the Pawsox won! It was cool to talk to one of my dad's friends from our old church in Taunton (or Easton I forget) who came to the game with his family. He works at the VA but at a different building and it turns out he wears a cross for my dad every day. I was wicked glad to have talked to him.
Then it was some more birthday stuff the next day I saw the Superman movie at the IMax and parts of it were in 3D. I'm not a very big fan of Superman but it was alright. My bro was off the wall he's obsessed with Superman. I kinda like Kevin Spacey when he's in different roles like in American Beauty and even in The Usual Suspects.
Last night I was pumped I got ahold of Dave and headed up to Reading to chill out with him for a while. Turns out his summer is going a lot like mine in a lot of ways. Not exactly the same, but a lot of similarities. Reading is a nice place, I never been to the Jordan's Furniture / IMax there it's so huge! Definately gotta hang with that kid again. And if he ends up leavin the suite at UML and living in Fox hall and if his replacement isn't a cool shit then I'm gonna be in a bad spot lol.
That brings it up to tonight. It's my mom's birthday and we're (me my bro and my Aunt Laura who thank god can afford to help us out with the bill lol) taking my mom to Fujiyama! I'm gonna chip in and get some exotic brand of sushi, gonna close my eyes, point to one and get a plate of it no matter what comes out. A tiny little exciting thing :)
Besides that I'm goin to the beach next week, who's in? I'm workin til 11 tomorrow and saturday but after that I don't care if it's just me I'm goin to get some sun and swim! I've decided to stop letting work get in the way of me gettin out more and enjoying summer. AND, I'm not goin back to school as un-tan as I am now lol
