Just in case anyone wondered...

I am still alive, I just haven't posted anything in a month of Sundays...wait, better make that 3 months of Sundays.  Just a quick and dirty rundown of important events that may or may not have been mentioned in previous entries:
  • I recently purchased a house.  My closing was on November 17th and we will be out of the apartment by the end of November.  Photos of the new abode are viewable on Facebook for anyone interested.  It was lived in by an 86 year old lady, so there is a lot of cosmetic updates required, but it has potential.
  • I started a new job in mid-September.  It's a permanent library position for the company I've been working for since May 2006 (albeit working for them in a number of different capacities).  This is a 100% telecommuting position so my dining room table is my office.  Telecommuting is great (but can have drawbacks).
  • I purchased a new vehicle in mid-August - a truck of all things.  Butch, eh?  Jason's mom was selling hers and it was in my budget.  My main reason for buying it was my extreme dislike for vehicle shopping.  It doesn't get great mileage, but it's nicer than my previous rust-bucket (which incidentally still ran great, but was cosmetically-challenged).  Since I work at home I don't drive much anyhow.
  • Prior to the library-gig, I was working at Lincoln Financial Group in one of their call centers.  I can thank Jason for this job -- at the time I started (back in April) he was working in the call center as well.  Neither of us are there anymore.  I can honestly say that working in a call center is not for me.
I think that's all the good stuff -- I am going to try and post more regularly from now on, just in case I have any readers left!
