Random memory
Junior year of college I took General Physics. On Halloween, lecture started as usual, when suddenly there were Physics majors bursting in the back doors of the auditorium and repelling from the ceiling. They gave us candy and showed us videos about how cool it is being a Physics major.
Then came the fun part. The whole class ran across the street and invaded the General Chemistry class. We threw candy at the students and tried a little general mayhem. Professor Steinmetz, the chemistry prof, caught hold of me as I wrote "Chemistry Sucks!" across his chalkboard. I managed to get free and run for it.
Now, it's a good thing Steinmetz has a sense of humor, because he was my adviser. He is the one who convinced me to try engineering, and he wrote recommendations for me to get into grad school.
No point to that story. Just something I remembered tonight.
