Theory, really:

Abstract:
Cockroaches can't be killed by poison, but they would prefer to get away from it.

Introduction:
An exterminator came to my door yesterday. He said my neighbor was having pest problems and asked if I was having any. I said no and he left.

Results:
Today I see two cockroaches scurrying around my apartment.

Discussion:
I'm betting the exterminator sprayed next door, the roaches no longer liked it there and decided to move into my place. Damn-it.
