[ Hello world. Have a blank-faced Kotomi - as usually. ]

I was wondering.. has anyone in Spero found any books around yet? I'd like to read more, but I don't know if there's a library still anywhere here.. I already finished most of the books back in Discedo either way.

Ah, but now they're left out in the acid rain like that.. I feel somewhat ( Read more... )

forever off topic, spacing out forever, oh hey the surroundings changed, get caught in her pace and lose, *ic, *video, lives in a library, *entry

Not yet, but if you find any let me know, eh?

Do you have long distance den den mushi back home then?

If I find any, I'll let everyone know. Books are very interesting after all, don't you think?

... Den den mushi?

Aye. I never considered them quite a luxury before, but I'm beginning to see what Ben Beckman sees in them.

Den den mushi are snail communicators, they transmit messages across long distances. You don't have them in your world?

Snail communicators? Can snail send messages in your world? I think they aren't able to do that in mine.. unless it's to other snails, maybe.

Yeah, the snails in my world communicate to other snails, but with machinery, humans can use it send messages via the snails.

That sounds sort of cute.. Snails are almost like really tiny messagers like that.

Aye. Although, the long distance ones are much bigger. You can't even hold them one-handed anymore. Unless you're Jozu or Pops' size I guess.

I was sort of expecting the scientists to make these comm things bigger too. [Shrugs.]

Then.. could you still hold them with two hands? If they get too big they might not really be snails anymore..

Usually. So long as you're strong enough, but it's more recommendable to just put it on a table or something.

Mah, there are some really huge ones that transmit visual -- like these things can, but much much bigger. Those are bigger than the average human.

These snails sound really interesting.. I'd love to see one someday. It'd be nice if Tomoya-kun and everyone else could have seen it too..

Snails bigger than a human..?

Sometimes I prefer them to these things, even though they're not as versatile -- they're more personable somehow.

Aye, those are very rare though, I think mostly just the World Government uses them. Maybe some of the sports stadiums.

I think it would be a lot cuter to use a snail to communicate with rather than these.. they're small and cute.

They are. I like den den mushi. And seagulls.

Seagulls are pretty cute too. Especially when they cry out like kya-, kya-.

They're okay. They'd be better if the marines hadn't adopted them as their symbol, but that's not really the seagulls' fault.

That's right, I'm sure the poor seagulls maybe didn't even want to become their symbol.
