at first i thought the thing was rather nifty, however its MAC and i began to see through their marketing and the BS.
#1 the chrome back is bling blaow, but like she said it tarnishes easily and hand held consumer electronics isnt exactly the best place to put chrome, or something shiny.
#2 the "FM modulator" is horrible it transmits the signal to the radio clearly only when the module is directly in front of the car stereo, touching it even. Also, this 2"x2" wide "sweet spot" happens to be libbys cup holders in her accord, taking up space for my drinks.
#3 the lcd is nice and the navigation can be tricky, but the worst part is the generic letters and black and white display. Its easy to see... ...WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON. But the batteries will only last a total of 2 minutes and 13 seconds with the light on, so youll just have to press buttons and hope for the best when you arent under the broadway spotlights.
#4 As i mentioned before, since its a Mac product, the market for the accessories is licensed to a third-party company that distributes third-rate goods with a milkly white covering, not to stray from the scheme, that have a tendency to break fairly quickly and/or taking the life of your iPOD with itas well.
#5 you said what 2000 songs??? Well how much did it cost? $500 you say?? Ahhh well how about we spend $300 on an MP3 capible Apline headunit and then ill burn you 3 mp3 cds each with around 700 songs on it and boom there you go, 2100 songs whenever you want with great quality sound. Hey $200 left!!! Get some new speakers and youll really rock. Or get an MP3 player for cheap and have both for the price of one!
todd is bias and had never owned a mac... and he will not understand until he does... ask anyone who owns one now.

#1 it was NOT made for children (who often scratch things up and do NOT know how to take care of electronics) and ill be the first to admit that i havent handled it in the proper way so i intend to make it better by buying the scratch remover
#2 the FM transmitter is amazing ... it just has to be in line with the antenna on the back of my car... the only reason you dont like it is because im driving and you dont want to hold your drink

i love my ipod and todd does too he just wont admit it because its made by mac, but i would pick you over it anyday, todd, so dont worry ;)
now if you want to talk shit about the mini ones thats a whole other story. they are silly.
the trick when designing consumer electronics is actually to make them soo easy to use that a child CAN use them.

yeah it is a cup holder ... and my car is a piece and is 14 yrs old and drinks touch the stereo receiver because the stereo is not stock (the stock receiver was a tape player that gave out on me yrs ago) take that up with honda
buy me a new stereo so i can hard wire it from the front and not have it look ghetto and then we will talk.
