Closing Time?
Today I made my oral exam for my german popliterature class.
I know it was off to a bad start when I began by (mistakenly) saying the book American Psycho was "angenehm" (comfortable) instead of "unangenehm" (UNcomfortable). The book is about a serial killer and rapist. Nice.
Then he proceeded to ask about Authors of which I didnt know, and I stated the incorrect decade for the beginning of the popliterature movement.
I, however, brilliantly turned questions i didnt know down tracks of random words and thoughts that I DID know and heard him say in lecture.
That, my friends, and perhaps utter pity for my lack of knowledge and german-speaking-abilities - is what saved me.
He gave me a 2,3 which I think it around a Mid-B?
He concluded by saying that hopefully I took something out of the class that will interest me in my future german lit classes next year, and hoped at least my language comprehension improved as a result of his class.
oh lordy
I pretty much laughed at myself the whole way home and praised god that ordeal was OVER!
and I also previously had a some-what-vivid dream in which i SLEPT with this professor. ha-ha, elise and her crazy dreams!
Talked to katiez last night, and am getting so excited for the apt!
also, this baseball player deal reminds me of sex and the city - cept no crying in his mouth. Now I just gotta get a photo taken with him for the newspaper, ha!
