The Magic of Paris

I bought some new under-eye moisturiser the other day. I am fickle with my brands, and the one I bought the other day was one I have never used before. It is called Miracle Skin Cream Eyes: Anti-Ageing Skin Transforming Care because the people at Garnier do not know when to stop adding words. (It's not the anti-ageing properties I am interested in ( Read more... )

How exciting about Alistair coming to live with you. I can't wait to see a photo of him :) I'm a firm believer in shelter cats as pets as all mine over the years have been wonderful.

Mine have been a mixture of shelter cats and farmhouse mogs, and they've all been good.

Alistair is settling in well so far. He has discovered he likes raw chicken. :-)

Eee, so exciting! (More the cat than the panda bit, incidentally.)

CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT.

Zula-kitten hid behind the sofa for most of the first day I had her. Though to be fair, I had put her through a 9 hour nightmare journey on the way home (a road closure by Stonehenge added about 2 hours to our projected fairly dire journey time). However, she became brave very quickly, so hopefully Alistair will accept that you are A Good Thing in short order.

He's coming round. If he loses sight of me he goes back to hide under the bed, but once I come and look at him he re-emerges.

Wow, fast work! The RSPCA here makes it a very long process, with a house visit before you even get on the approved adopters list.

But I am glad you have what sounds like a very agreeable new feline in the house.

I did have to fill in a very long form, including questions about any animals I've had in the last ten years. I think writing my history of long-lived cats helped. Maybe they ask more questions for first-timers?

It's interesting, the variations in rules about these things. Our council rules are very strict - no more than two cats, must be de-sexed
