reporting from the real world....
Alright, so things have settled down (actually, they've been pretty chill for a couple weeks now...) and I have time (ahem....remembered) to update.
We got engaged, we packed, we moved, we unpacked....incidentally, it rained the last couple days of packing and poured like the world was ending exactly when we were unloading the cars and the truck. handy. But, everything worked out, and we're happy in the new place. We've got two sliding doors that let in a lot of light and air, nice big windows in the bedrooms that create a breeze with the sliding doors, a tiny kitchen, 2 bathrooms (one is for the cat), and a washer/dryer (currently washing my 4 new sets of scrubs). We use the second bedroom as an office as well as storage, and we've gotten around to putting some of our paintings up on the walls.
This past thursday I finally started work. so far it's just been a lot of orientation and shadowing, and it will probably stay like that for a little while, because I'm kind of in limbo as far as the law is concerned. I'm no longer a student protected by my university's insurance, but I don't have my license yet, either. But, I've registered to take my test and just have to set up a time. I haven't been studying very much, but I'll be working on that a bit more now.
And with that, my updating is done for now. I think it's bedtime.
