I generally suck at coming up with titles
So it's been an interesting week. To say the least. A lot of it was spent doing...not much at all, really. Every day I've gone for a walk in the morning, which I'm proud of considering the situation. But then Tuesday afternoon I watched the old BBC version of the Hitchhiker's Guide series, Wednesday I watched Harry Potter with Karen and TV in the evening with Katie (thanks guys), Thursday was slightly more eventful, but at least I can say I got out of the house to watch the NEW Hitchhiker's Guide movie, and Friday I watched TV and read. Saturday was awesome, I read the entire day. I seriously mean the entire day, too. I haven't done that in forever, it was really dorky of me but it made me happy. I finished the book though, that I started on Friday. So now I have nothing to read again. But it's probably better that way because I really need to start doing research this next week.
I'm glad to report that I'm healing pretty well. The swelling is down and I didn't really bruise much, and my jaw opens a little wider now. The worst part is that the stitches are starting to dissolve/come out...it's just really gross, I won't go into it. I'm almost out of the monster ibuprofen they gave me, and tonight I'm going to try not taking the vicodin. I should be alright, but wish me luck anyway.
I've finally pinned down the MCC band director with a date for starting guard rehearsal. I'm looking forward to it, although I still wanted to write a short flag routine/warm up...maybe I can do that this week while I'm home and have access to a nice yard. This is going to be a crazy busy summer...we have class all day 4 days a week, Laura and I will probably do research on Fridays (data collection..eek!), I'll schedule guard on Saturdays...and somewhere in there I have to find time to come back here for a doctor's appointment, TB test, and eye exam, with the subsequent return to pick up the glasses and contacts. I just might lose it, but you may need to prepare for a lot of venting.
