Inazuma Eleven First Series Ending
So I watched it last night. And I cried, no shame. And, to kick off my new journal, I'll talk about it and prove I can actually seriously discuss things! :P
First off, the two year jump was just...so weird? Or was it a one year jump? That's one of the only bad points about it, I think. Granted, one of the things I think Go does better is give us a clearer age range/ year range of the cast, which would have been very, very helpful in the very beginning of the series, but I digress. I feel like if I had a better understanding of the school system I'd be less lost. I believe they have year-round schooling, right?
Anyway, the entire graduation ceremony was very sweet. I'm actually very glad Kurimatsu was chosen as the new captain, because I really think he'll do a good job! Shourin and Shishido don't really stick out to me like leader-types, and although Kabeyama's arguably more important he isn't really a leader either! And I'm also thankful Toramaru wasn't chosen as the captain (but I don't like Toramaru much anyway...so no surprise there.) And they showed Kazuto! They didn't forget him!! (And they showed Endou's elusive dad...)
Shadow smiling was also really kind of cute. Poor Shadow kind of got jipped with anime time. And on another note, I cried deeply when Hiroto, Midorikawa, and Osamu were reunited with Kira watching because be still my heart my Sun Garden feelings!!!
Anyway, the graduation match!
I feel like they could have done more with the Shishido and Rika spotlights at the very end. Granted, Shishido and Rika are unfortunately not shown a lot playing soccer, but they still..well, they still played!! Rika's especially kind of annoyed me because (despite Ichinose/Rika being my otp) that isn't all she is! Ichinose is a large part of why she joined during the Aliea Arc, but she's a great soccer player in her own right and should have been shown playing soccer!
Buuut, despite my complaints I was sobbing at the end, like I'm prone to do.
Now it is behind me. Now it's time for Go!...Even if I started watching Go before I finished. OTL
