All day yesterday Arianna was on the move! I think she was actually quiet for maybe a grand total of 5 minutes. Though I think she fell asleep when I did. I believe God-parents is a Catholic thing. There is a cerimony and everything to go along with it, but basically it needs to be a man whom you respect and can be the child's emotional-spiritual mentor, as a suppliment to you or course. The god parents don't need to be a married couple. But it probably works best that way because if, heaven forbid, you were to die they would be the people you most likely would have on your will as gauardians for the child. Of course that's not really set, because you might just have one set of grandparents as the legal guardians if you die, but there are some traditions that put the god-parents in that spot first.
Of course its up to you. But I agree that i should be someone whom will be the mentor type figure, so you should choose something who believes in values you want you child to be taught.
I'm not sure if we're going to have god-parents for our baby. We're not Catholic and my family never did that. But it sounds like a good idea. Maybe we could have our own little cerimony or something.

I thought the whold God-Parents thing was just a Catholic thing, but I've heard of other people doing it too, so I was thinking maybe everyone's kindof adapting it or something. Andy's family is Catholic, but they don't really go to church or anything and I don't think they've done the whole God-parent thing either. I like the idea though, having someone your child can look up to and such. I was actually thinking along the same lines as you, have our own little ceremony if we decide to do it.
